A Better Shipper, LLC ("ABS") Website Privacy Policy

Updated August 21, 2018

Capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy have the meaning set forth in the Agreement or Terms and Conditions to which this Privacy Policy is attached, except the words "You" and "Your" refer to the particular Buyer entering into or agreeing to the Agreement or Terms and Conditions to which this Privacy Policy is attached.

This Privacy Policy describes what types of information ABS gathers about You, how ABS uses that information, under what circumstances ABS discloses that information to third-parties, and Your rights to update or correct that information. This Privacy Policy applies to the Website. It does not apply to other companies' or organizations' web sites to which ABS links. You should carefully review the privacy policies of those web sites in order to determine how they treat Your personal information.

ABS gathers certain generic information with respect to customers' use of the Website, such as the number of unique visitors, the frequency with which they visit, and the areas on the Website that they favor. These statistics are very much like television ratings that tell the networks how many people tuned in to a program. ABS only uses this type of data in aggregate - that is, ABS looks at the data on a collective basis, in summary form, rather than on an individual basis. This data helps ABS determine the extent to which ABS's customers use certain parts of the Website, which, in turn, enables ABS to make it as appealing as possible. ABS may also provide statistical "ratings" about how ABS's customers collectively use the Website to advertisers, sponsors, and other companies with which ABS does business ("Participating Corporations"). ABS does this so they, too, can understand how often people use their areas of the Website in order for them to provide You with the best possible experience. These statistical ratings do not contain any personally identifiable information about You or any of ABS's users.

ABS uses Your IP Address to help diagnose problems with ABS's or ABS's Supplier's servers, and to administer the Website.

ABS is expressly permitted to compile information relating to Your usage of the Website. Such information includes, but is not limited to, volume and amount of transactions. ABS is authorized to reproduce, license, sell and use such information, as ABS deems appropriate, provided that, except as is necessary to the processing of a payment or required by Laws, ABS shall not provide such information to any Person unless such information is aggregated and not individually identifiable to You. You shall not be entitled to (i) notice of any such reproduction, licensing, sale or use or (ii) any information regarding the income, if any, derived by ABS therefrom.

ABS uses a technology nicknamed "cookies" on the Website. Cookies are pieces of information or data sent to Your browser from a web server and stored on Your computer's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. ABS uses cookies to make Your visit to the Website easier. For example, cookies allow ABS to recognize You when You re-enter ABS's Website so that You will not have to sign-in each time You visit. Cookies also allow ABS to count the number of unique and return visitors who use the Website. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. If You prefer, You can reset Your browser to notify You when You have received a cookie or, alternatively, to refuse to accept cookies. It is important to note that You may not be able to use certain features on ABS's Website if You choose not to accept cookies. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of ABS's users to enhance their experience on the Website.

ABS collects and analyzes traffic on ABS's Website by keeping track of the IP addresses of visitors to ABS's Website. IP addresses are unique numeric identifiers that are assigned to each computer browser accessing the Internet. An IP address, by itself, cannot identify You personally. However, when combined with other information provided by Your Internet Service Provider (ISP), Your IP address can be used to identify the computer originating a message.

ABS reserves the right to communicate with You from time to time about important administrative, policy, legal, credit card, and billing matters, which will affect Your use of the Website, including without limitation any alleged violations of license agreements to which ABS is a party. Provision by You of information necessary to direct these communications to You, and acceptance of such communications, are mandatory.

ABS may communicate with you via email from time to time about special offers. By conducting business with ABS or providing ABS with your email address you are consenting to receive offers. You may "opt-out" of receiving such offers. If You opt out and ABS subsequently changes its systems or service provider(s), it may be necessary for you to "opt-out" again if You do not wish to receive promotional emails.

ABS has industry standard security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under ABS's control. While there is no such thing as "perfect security" on the Internet, ABS will take all reasonable steps to insure the safety of Your personal information. ABS's Website contains links to other web sites; ABS is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.

ABS allows You the option to change or modify information previously provided. This may be done through the methods described on the Website.
